Floating Leasing Consultant — Cambridge/Boston

National Development is looking for a full-time Leasing Consultant for our residential portfolio. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for people, apartment living, and creating a sense of community among residents and team members. As a member of our leasing team, you will instill a sense of National Development pride in everyone that they interact with. This position will require some travel from site to site and could require one or multiple days at any of our communities in the greater Boston area.

As a Leasing Consultant, your primary responsibilities include:
Corresponding with prospective residents – establishing a good rapport, setting up appointments, touring the community, and taking them through the leasing and move-in process, all while showcasing exemplary customer service and sales skills
Administrative tasks such as lease generation, resident file preparation and maintenance, and resident correspondence
Preparing weekly leasing reports
Participate in the planning and execution of resident events
Maintaining social media presence, working with the internal marketing team to create and post content
Cultivating and maintaining strong, loyal relationships with residents, offering a first-class resident experience and helping to maintain a strong sense of community

Property Manager — West Roxbury

National Development is looking for an experienced Property Manager for a new property of ours in the West Roxbury area.

As a Property Manager, your primary responsibilities include:
Leading by example and being a role model for the standards and behaviors consistent with the core values and culture of National Development
Inspiring the team to effectively execute sales, marketing and operational activities that achieve budgeted occupancy and customer retention goals
Managing the financial performance of the property in accordance with the established budget

5+ years of experience in the property management

Experience managing a budget and/or P&L

Maintenance Manager — West Roxbury

National Development is looking for a full-time Maintenance Manager for a property located in the West Roxbury area. The ideal candidate is a proven leader and must be skilled in all areas of general maintenance and must be able to perform physical maintenance operations of the property.

 As a Maintenance Manager, your primary responsibilities include:
Maintain the interior and exterior physical condition of the assigned property in a professional manner
Conduct routine inspection and preventive maintenance of all building-related systems
Coordinate response to resident maintenance requests in a timely and efficient manner
Reliably handle emergency situations and quickly communicate issues to your supervisor and fellow team members
Develop and manage an on-call schedule with neighboring sites
Effectively manage the apartment turnover process
Oversee selection and management of all maintenance-related vendors
Manage capital projects onsite as needed including the bid process and project/construction management
Assist with the creation of the property budget and ensure cost effectiveness across all maintenance-related areas

As a Maintenance Technician, your primary responsibilities include:
Reliably handle emergency situations. Excellent communication and organizational skills are mandatory
Maintain the interior and exterior physical condition of the assigned property in a professional manner

Building Engineer – Burlington, MA

The Opportunity:
National Development (ND) is looking for a full-time commercial Building Engineer reporting directly to a Chief Engineer to assist our property management team on a portfolio of Office and Retail properties at The District in Burlington, MA. The District is a vibrant 1.3M s.f. business center situated on 64 acres with nine commercial and three retail buildings. During ND’s ownership, The District has been transformed to meet the needs of today’s innovative work force. The management team is constantly striving to provide a dynamic setting that promotes tenant collaboration and innovation. The ideal candidate must be skilled in all areas of general maintenance and must be able to perform physical maintenance operations of the property.

As a Building Engineer, your primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Assist Chief Engineer in the performance of all maintenance duties for the assigned portfolio. Conduct general site, building and mechanical room inspections to insure cleanliness, safety and environmental compliance of all systems and ensure all is maintained in a professional matter.
Assist with the preventative maintenance programs. This shall include check-off lists, machinery history, safety inspection and test records.
Assist the Chief Engineer with managing responsibilities for work performance of all building vendors including the scheduling, directing and planning the job performance for vendors and service contractors.
Keep the Chief Building Engineer and Property Manager advised of all matters incidental to the operational status, major overhauls and casualties to all systems.
Reliably handle emergency situations including being on-call, as needed.

The ideal candidate must be skilled in all areas of general maintenance and must be able to perform physical maintenance operations of the property. Properties are located in Wayland, Sudbury, Westwood and Dedham.

As a Building Engineer, your primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Assist Chief Engineer in the performance of all maintenance duties for the assigned portfolio. Conduct general site, building and mechanical room inspections to insure cleanliness, safety and environmental compliance of all systems and ensure all is maintained in a professional matter.
