Residential Assistant Property Manager – Allston, MA

The Opportunity:
National Development is looking for an Assistant Manager for E3/Green District apartments in Allston, MA. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for people, apartment living, and creating a sense of community among residents and team members.

 As an Assistant Property Manager, Your Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Administrative tasks such as processing invoices, depositing rent checks, processing move-in and move-out accounting, and managing delinquency recovery
Corresponding with prospective residents – establishing a good rapport, setting up appointments, touring the community, and guiding them through the leasing and move-in process, all while showcasing exemplary customer service and sales skills
Preparing weekly and monthly leasing reports
Initiate and execute the lease renewal process from offer to acceptance and prepare weekly renewal status update reports
Participate in the planning and execution of resident events
Conduct daily, weekly, quarterly property inspections to ensure a high level of maintenance, regularly interfacing with internal staff and vendors to maintain the same.
Responsible for knowing the status of vacant units and inspection of all preleased apartments
Develops and maintains knowledge of the property, community and competitors
Stay on the cutting edge of market conditions, trends and product knowledge in the community and competitive communities; ensure same knowledge in leasing staff
Assist with the developing and implementing marketing strategies for the properties social media sites.
Cultivating and maintaining strong, loyal relationships with residents, offering a first-class resident experience and helping to maintain a strong sense of community
Assists with monitoring resident satisfaction in person, through follow-up calls and emails.  Also, while analyzing resident satisfaction surveys and online reviews to ensure a positive living experience.
Play a role in achieving community financial goals with assisting in the development, preparation and administration of the community’s capital and operating budgets
Demonstrate the ability to resolve resident complaints and direct pertinent issues and matters to the community manager
Take over the Property Manager’s responsibilities when Property Manager is not available
Working weekends when prospective residents are out looking for their new home.

Residential Property Manager — Newton, MA

5+ years of experience in the property management
A track record of success building, developing and retaining high-performing teams
A track record of building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, investors, ownership groups and vendors
Experience managing a budget and/or P&L
Experience with a Revenue Management software platform (YieldStar preferred)
Proficiency with industry software (YARDI), apps and computer programs

Desktop/Network Engineer — Newton, MA

The Opportunity:
National Development is looking for a full-time Junior or Senior Engineer to join their IT Department.

As a Junior or Senior Engineer, your primary responsibilities include:
A large portion of your daily work will include Windows desktop support, but we also work with Windows servers, Sophos UTM firewalls, VMWare, Citrix XenApp, and lots of other cool technology.  We are a small IT group and everyone pitches in to work on all aspects of our IT operations.  We take pride in what we do.

Building Engineer – Metrowest, MA

The Opportunity:
National Development is looking for a full-time commercial Building Engineer reporting directly to a Chief Engineer to assist our property management team on a portfolio of office, industrial and retail properties. The ideal candidate must be skilled in all areas of general maintenance and must be able to perform physical maintenance operations of the property. Properties are located in Wayland, Sudbury, Westwood and Dedham.

As a Building Engineer, your primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Assist Chief Engineer in the performance of all maintenance duties for the assigned portfolio. Conduct general site, building and mechanical room inspections to insure cleanliness, safety and environmental compliance of all systems and ensure all is maintained in a professional matter.
Assist with the preventative maintenance programs. This shall include check-off lists, machinery history, safety inspection and test records.
Assist the Chief Engineer with managing responsibilities for work performance of all building vendors including the scheduling, directing and planning the job performance for vendors and service contractors.
Keep the Chief Building Engineer and Property Manager advised of all matters incidental to the operational status, major overhauls and casualties to all systems.
Reliably handle emergency situations.

Leasing Consultant — North Shore Property

The Opportunity:
National Development is looking for full-time a Leasing Consultant. As a Leasing Consultant, your primary responsibilities include:
Corresponding with prospective residents – establishing a good rapport, setting up appointments, touring the community, and taking them through the leasing and move-in process, all while showcasing exemplary customer service and sales skills
Administrative tasks such as lease generation, resident file preparation and maintenance, and resident correspondence
Preparing weekly leasing reports
